With a deep sense of exhilaration & delectation, we present the Annual Report of the year 2023-24 to apprise you all, how the mission of Pleasant English School has materialized positively in the day to day working of our school in the voyage of discovery of excellence in the field of education.
Pleasant English School is a full-fledged senior secondary school affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, focused on excellence in teaching and learning under the aegis of Islamic Welfare Trust, Omassery. We provide equal opportunity for students to achieve excellence in academic, cultural, sporting, civic leadership & social endeavour, in an inclusive environment that supports learning, teaching & respectful relationships.
The school has an enthusiastic and dedicated team of 52 teachers in Senior Secondary, Secondary, Primary and Montessori sections. In addition, we have 34 non-teaching and support staff. It is their cooperation with one another that enables the school to function smoothly and grow with new perspectives.
Apart from preparing children to qualify for purely academic demands, special efforts are being made continuously to equip them with 21st century skills that will let them face the challenges of the competitive world, stress-free. It is a matter of great importance to us that the students who leave from the portal of Pleasant, carry forward the values they have inherited, excel in whatever they do and be role models in the society.
ACADEMICS:
Achieving academic excellence is at the heart of our endeavour as educators. We cater to students from all sections of society & we recognize this as a challenge and has actively worked to develop systems & processes to deal with this issue by taking extra and remedial classes. The year 2023 commenced on a wonderful note when the results of our Grade 10 and 12 CBSE Board Examination came out. We achieved 100% results in both grade 10 and 12.
The Grade X (AISSE) result was glorious with distinguished distinctions. Miss Theja Lakshmi topped the school with 94% marks. Miss Aysha Nafla.B.C, Miss Amna Nahla.B.C, Miss Mehanna and Miss Thejalakshmi scored above 100% in Malayalam.Master Hafiz Muhammed scored 100% in Arabic. 59% of our students secured Distinction AND 39% ,First Class.Miss Jeza.K.C became the school topper in Grade 12AISSCE 2023).
Our school truly believes that physical as well as mental activities play a vital role in building a bright future of the children. By providing a conducive and encouraging environment, the students are mentored to participate in a variety of intra and inter school competitions such as quizzes, drawing and painting, dance, elocution, essay writing, recitation & many more. Many students have participated in various competitions and brought laurels to our school.
Various Co – Curricular Activities are held to develop a child physically, morally, socially and mentally and to hone skills in co-scholastic areas, regular Inter House activities were held in which the students participated and displayed their calibre. Students were given training in various co-scholastic activities such Dance, Chess, Karate, Craft and many more under the able stewardship of talented instructors in the respective areas on every Saturdays. We celebrated the important days to make the students learn about our culture, heritage and to make our students aware of the pressing issues of the environment & the world. All the important days such as Reading Day, International Yoga Day, Independence Day, Hiroshima Day, National Postal DayConstitution Day, UN Day, Teachers’ day, Children’s Day, were celebrated in a befitting manner.
ACHIEVEMENTS
The school gives equal importance to scholastic and co-scholastic activities. Hard work and determination have made the dreams of our students materialize in the Inter School competitions that they took part. Many won prizes and brought laurels to the school.
Miss Ayisha Mehar.K of Grade 1, Iza Zaiba of Grade 2, Malavika.K of Grade 2 and Miss Jaiza Hanin of Grade 10 became the state toppers of the LEAP Examination,2023. Miss Nina Fathima.P of Grade 8 became the topper of the year in the HIKMA Talent Search Exam, 2023.Miss Nina Fathima.P of Grade 8 and Master Muhammed Hasbin of Grade 9 became the State level winners in Qu’ran Quiz Category 3 by winning the Second Prize.
Our students exhibited literary and artistic talents in the CBSE District Kalostav. Miss Theja Lakshmi of Grade 11 bagged the First prize for Story Writing in Malayalam Category 4,. Miss Niveditha.K of Grade 12 won the Second position in Versification and Extempore(Malayalam), Category 4.Master Muhammed Ajsam.C.K of Grade 10 got the Third place in Mappilapattu, Category 3.
Our exceptional students secured the coveted title of First Runner Up for the Super Senior Category in the English Fest, Lingua Franca’23 , organized by the Vidya Council of India. Miss Theja Lakshmi won the First place in Declamation. Miss Suha Nazar of Grade 12 and Miss Niveditha.K of Grade 12 secured First Prize in Bilingual Translation. Miss Hazza Dayan of Grade 7 bagged the Third Prize in Extempore for Junior Category. We also had the privilege of hosting the Kids Fest organized by the IECI and emerged out as the First Runner up in Category 1.
Our stars have done remarkably well in the sports arena too, and outshone others in various events. 19 students participated in JSKA Inter district school level open Karate Championship 2023.All of them bagged one prize or another in the event and became the First Runner up. Our tiny tots showcased their sportsmanship in the Kids Sports 2023 and won many prizes.
We take immense pride in announcing the remarkable achievements of our esteemed alumni. Among them, we have dedicated doctors, visionary engineers, and inspiring lecturers, each contributing their unique expertise to society. What sets our alumni apart is not just their professional, but also their commitment to philanthropy, exemplifying the spirit of giving back. As they continue to excel in diverse fields and extend a helping hand through charity, our alumni network becomes a beacon of inspiration and positive impact. Together, we celebrate a legacy of excellence and compassion.
Many milestones have been achieved and many still have to be reached. We at Pleasant English School will continue our unceasing efforts to mould the young minds into well balanced personalities with confidence and zeal befitting the standards of this portal of education.

Before concluding this report, I bow my head in reverence to the Almighty for the blessings He has showered upon this institution. May I take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to the management whose continuous support to our ideology of education has enabled the school to come this far. The teachers and the entire staff also deserve applause for their tireless efforts in implementing the route map of imparting quality education here. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to our parents who have shown unflinching faith in us by giving us the profound opportunity to transform their children into truly useful citizens of the future world.
